Terms of Use
Last updated October 4, 2026.
By downloading or using Vocagap, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which these terms add to. You must be at least 13, or the minimum age set by law in your country.
What Vocagap is
Vocagap is a tool for practising spoken English and building vocabulary. It is not a teacher and not a certification. Its transcription and its translations are produced by an automated model and will sometimes be wrong.
Subscription and free trial
- New subscribers may be offered a free trial, and its length is shown before you subscribe. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel yours in your Apple Account settings — cancelling in the app is not possible, because Apple, not we, holds the subscription.
- Pro includes an allowance of listening minutes each month, shown in the app. It resets monthly and does not carry over.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us.
Fair use
The subscription is for one person's practice. Do not resell access, automate the app, or use it to process audio you have no right to record. We may suspend an installation that does — see the Privacy Policy for what we can see.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and vocabulary are yours, and they are stored on your device. We claim no rights over them. To make the app work, your speech and the words you save are processed as the Privacy Policy describes; you allow us to do that, and nothing more.
Recording other people
Vocagap records whatever your microphone hears. Recording other people without their knowledge is illegal in many places. Making sure you have permission is your responsibility, not ours.
No warranty
Vocagap is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or that its output will be accurate. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the date above will change with them, and continuing to use the app means accepting them. You can stop using Vocagap at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
